The first Kojo ebook is out! Take a read, play along, and try to have as much fun with it as you can. The first half of the book is a bit of a user guide, so it might get a little dry at times. The second half, which contains activities for you to try out, should be a lot more fun.
And don’t forget to give us your feedback, as requested on the last page of the book.
The book is available at: http://www.kogics.net/sf:kojo-ebooks
1) download page is not shown from site menu, only from news
both book download and instaler download are to be in menu on home page
2) memory problem was reportedly fixed in Java u19 beta 2
Today Java 1.6 u19 was released, if memory problem gone, then download page is to be edited
> if memory problem gone, then download page is to be
Done, as of yesterday. But thanks for keeping a look out for this!

The download page link and the ebook page link are on the Kojo page (http://www.kogics.net/sf:kojo), which is linked to from the Kogics Home Page (under Hotlinks).
You think this does not make the Kojo installer and ebook accessible enough?
that depends upon which is the homepage.
To some extent, homepage is where news are published.
imagine someone who was given link to some news post on this blog, by mail or by link in some software news site.
Or who got here via some RSS aggregator, etc.
How he woud look for homepage ? he just would cick on “home” button. And so he woud stuck in the blog.
I guess if “the blog is nothing but the blog” then it should be cleary stated. And “home” be link to program’s homepage. And blog’s root is to be “News” or “blog” or whatever.
Same for picture above menu, and for the blog root page title – if it is not considered homepage of program, it should state something like “news about Kojo”, not “Kojo, learning environment”
As of now, if person parachutes to the blog, he have little chance to guess, it is not homepage of program. No clues for that except “about blog” page. Yet a lot of misleading clues, here it is the homepage.
I see what you mean. Let me play around with WordPress to see how I can ‘fix’ some of the issues that you have identified.
Made some changes. Hope things are a little better now.
they are, thanks 🙂
Thank You! (for pointing this out)
